Call of Duty leak suggests Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 will have tradeable cosmetics

In February, Activision confirmed the development of the two modern warfare 2 and War zone 2. Just over a month later, the logo was revealed for the upcoming old title. It left fans excited to return to the fan favorite modern warfare series. Other than that, we haven’t been given any more information to work with. Thanks to the leaks though, a few more details have emerged about what we might expect when the game launches. The most recent leak suggests that modern warfare 2 can get cosmetics that can be traded in a marketplace.

Known by the community Call of Duty leak The Ghost of Hope affirm that modern warfare 2 and war zone 2 could allow players to trade cosmetics. These cosmetics will supposedly come from modern warfare 2Rumored to be the third ‘DMZ’ game mode, which would feature a marketplace where items can be purchased and traded. Tradeable cosmetics include skins and blueprints, which can be used in both multiplayer and War zone 2.

A whole new way to get your hands on Call of Duty beauty products

If tradable cosmetics make their way into modern warfare 2, this will be the first time this feature will be available Call of Duty. Usually, you need to unlock cosmetics through the Battle Pass or purchase them through the in-game store. However, tradeable cosmetics are present in other first-person shooters, such as Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

It’s important to note that the leak of tradable cosmetics should be taken with a grain of salt. Without confirmation from Activision, it’s unclear what developer Infinity Ward might have up their sleeve. Also, we don’t know how this system will work and if it will only be available via ‘DMZ’ mode, for example.

That being said, a marketplace where items can be traded would be a nice addition to Modern warfare 2. The games already have a healthy range of cosmetics, so swapping some out for the ones you want might be a welcome addition.
